Fitted kitchen FAQs

How much does a fitted kitchen cost in Cheshire?
Every kitchen we make is bespoke, so the honest answer is that it depends on the size of the room, the range you choose, the worktops and the appliances. As a guide, our smart contemporary ranges such as Vivo offer excellent value for a smaller or mid-sized kitchen, while a large, hand-painted in-frame Windsor kitchen with stone worktops sits at the higher end. We always provide a clear, fully itemised written quote after the free home visit, with no hidden extras, so you can see exactly what your money buys before you decide anything.
Is the design visit really free, with no obligation?
Yes, completely. A designer will come to your home at a time that suits you, measure up precisely, talk through how you use the room and bring samples so you can see the finishes in your own light. You will then receive detailed plans and an itemised quote. There is no charge for any of this and absolutely no obligation to proceed. We would rather you took your time and chose with confidence than felt pressured into a quick decision.
How long does a new kitchen take from start to finish?
Once you have approved your design and chosen your finishes, manufacture typically takes six to eight weeks because everything is made to order. The installation itself usually takes one to two weeks depending on the size of the kitchen and how much building work — plastering, electrics, tiling and so on — is involved. We give you a clear schedule before we start so you know what is happening on each day.
Do you fit kitchens in older and period properties?
Frequently, and we relish it. Cheshire is full of period homes, and we are well used to walls that lean, floors that fall away and rooms that are anything but square. We scribe units to the wall, make bespoke filler panels and adjust as we go, so the finished kitchen looks as though it was always meant to be there. Our in-frame Windsor and classic Cambridge ranges are particularly well suited to older and listed homes.
Do you handle the building work, or just the kitchen?
We manage the whole project. As well as designing, making and fitting the cabinetry, we coordinate the trades that surround a kitchen — plastering, electrics, plumbing, gas, tiling, flooring and decorating — into a single schedule with one point of contact. You do not need to find and book separate tradespeople or work out who comes when. We have done it hundreds of times and we do it for you.
Can I have a two-tone kitchen or a bespoke colour?
Yes. Two-tone schemes — for example a darker island against lighter perimeter units — are among our most popular looks. Our standard palette runs through Deep Charcoal, Warm Mid Grey, Light Silver Grey, White and a Bronze accent, and we can also colour-match to a specific shade you have in mind. The designer will help you find a combination that suits your room, its light and the rest of your home.
What worktops do you offer?
We supply and fit a full range of worktops, including quartz, sintered stone (such as porcelain), solid timber and laminate. Each has its strengths: quartz and sintered stone are extremely hard-wearing and low-maintenance, while solid timber brings warmth and can be sanded and re-oiled over time. We will talk you through the options during the design so the worktop suits both the look you want and the way you use your kitchen.
Do you remove and dispose of my old kitchen?
Yes. Removal and responsible disposal of your existing kitchen is part of the service. Our fitters take it out carefully at the start of the installation and clear it away, leaving the room ready for your new kitchen. We always aim to leave your home clean and tidy at the end of each working day.
What guarantee do you provide?
Our cabinetry is built to last and is covered by a substantial guarantee, and appliances carry their own manufacturer warranties. Because we design, make and fit everything in-house, there is never any confusion about who is responsible if something needs attention — it is simply us. We are a local, established business and we are here for the long term, not just until the invoice is paid.
Which areas of Cheshire do you cover?
We cover Cheshire and the surrounding area within roughly fifteen miles, including Chester, Crewe, Macclesfield, Northwich, Winsford, Congleton, Wilmslow, Nantwich, Knutsford, Sandbach, Middlewich, Ellesmere Port, Frodsham and all the towns, villages and hamlets in between. If you are not sure whether we reach your village, just call us — if you are anywhere near central Cheshire, we will almost certainly come to you.

Still deciding? Here's how we keep it simple

Choosing a new kitchen can feel daunting, so we have deliberately kept our process clear and unhurried. It begins with a free home visit, where we measure up and listen far more than we talk. From there we prepare a design and a fully itemised quote, which you are free to take away and think about for as long as you like. Nothing is ordered, and no money changes hands, until you are completely happy with the plan in front of you.

Once you give the go-ahead, your kitchen is made to order in our workshop and then fitted by our own team, with the trades around it coordinated into one schedule. Throughout, you have a single point of contact who knows your project — not a rotating cast of strangers. It is the way we would want a kitchen company to treat our own homes, and it is the reason so much of our work comes from previous customers and their neighbours recommending us across Cheshire.

If you are ready to talk it through, get in touch and we will arrange a visit at a time that suits you.
